Be part of the team that brings Fun-A-Thon to life

In week 6 of Term 3 October 17th and 18th we are hosting a 24 hour Fun-A-Thon! This event consists of 24 activities, one per hour that teams made up of UNSW students will participate in.

We are recruiting both general volunteers and senior volunteers for term 3 to help with the creation, organisation, and running of Fun-A-Thon

WHY GET INVOLVED AS A VOLUNTEER

• Develop professional skills such as communication, creativity, and critical thinking by facilitating activities that engage large groups throughout the 24-hour event
• Build collaboration in a dynamic team environment and actively contribute to a community of students passionate about philanthropy
• Support a meaningful cause and make a difference in the lives of children at the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation
• Have fun creating lasting memories and friendships
• Heaps more! 

No previous experience is necessary, just bring your passion, enthusiasm to make a difference, and desire to have a great time while fundraising for a meaningful cause.

In the weeks leading up to Fun-A-Thon you'll be helping with preparing the event, recruiting and supporting participants that sign up, fundraising for the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation, all culminating with running an activity at the 24 Hour FUN-A-THON itself!

TIME COMMITMENT

• Average 2 hrs/week during term 
• Average 6 hours at Fun-A-Thon in Week 6 
• All volunteers must attend two compulsory training days on Tuesday 3 September and Thursday 5 September
• All volunteers must be available for Fun-A-Thon on October 17 - October 18
  • Note: You will not to be there the entire 24 hours, rostered shifts will be released closer to the date but availability for the event is important

SENIOR VOLUNTEERS

We're also recruiting for senior volunteers who lead a team of volunteers, and are also involved with the planning, marketing, and execution of the event, as well as helping the coordinator achieve the programs goals. 

• Shape the event from start to finish, contributing your creative ideas and organizational skills
• Develop leadership skills as you guide others, foster collaboration, and make decisions 
• Help create memorable moments for participants and volunteers alike
