Row, row, row, your boat, as fast as you can down the stream.

Experienced rower or looking to learn? UNSW Rowing Club caters for all levels from beginners to those seeking to compete in championships.

The club is one of the longest running student clubs at UNSW and consists of students as well as alumni.


What to expect:

Competitive rowing club that also has social events such as pub crawls and trivia nights. There is also a Learn to Row program which enables people with no rowing experience to join our novice squad and compete. 

Competition

The club is competitive, with boats sent to UniGames, States and National competitions and so many regattas during the season. The club enters teams for UniGames Division 1 every year.

Training times and locations:

The training times for the rowing club varies between squads:

Learn to Row/Novice squad trains 8.30am on Sundays, and rowing machine/fitness sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5pm on-campus.

Senior Squad: Mens - Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 5am. Womens - Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 5am.

Costs:

The annual cost of a student member is $800, which includes access to a fully functioning gym, coaching, gym programs and competition fees.
