Reestablished in 2018, UNSW Target Rifle Club is a place for people to try, learn and compete in the sport of Rifle Shooting!
Our club mainly focuses on Fullbore Target Rifle, a discipline which involves shooting at a stationary target from distances from 300m to 1km, using .308 calibre rifles and a sling to support the rifle. Most of our activities run at ANZAC Rifle Range at Malabar, 10 minutes away from UNSW. We welcome new shooters and we run try shooting sessions to anyone interested.
Competition
Mostly social, but can accommodate competitive members as well. Out of season the club aims to run try shoots for new shooters at least every fortnight.
Training times and locations
Most Saturdays, from 9am to 5pm, at ANZAC Rifle Range near Malabar.
Costs
UNSW Student membership fees are $20 per year, and by signing up at O-Week we will give them a $10 discount on their first try shoot.
