1 Hearing the rain

  reminded me of He,

3 who I thought would wash

  this pain from me.

5 In the dark there I laid,

  watched the rain fall away.

7 All I want is his stay,

  but I know he’s away.

9   Remember the time,

   when we were passing by.

11 You looked me in the eyes,

     but I moved just aside.

13 I think of the day,

     when my friend and I,

15 heard your heart of song,

as we walked down the hall.

17 Thoughts swirled around,

I had a sense of doubt.

19 Fears came around,
I had a sense of doubt.

21 I wish we did speak.

    I wish we held hands.

23 I long for our hearts,

    to unite, not apart.

21 The night was going on,

    rain kept coming on.

23 Thunder flashed along,

     reminding me of God.

29 His power and love,

    can turn this all around.

31 Reminding me again,

    this too shall pass.
