Remus and Romulus
Romulus and Remus were twins, children of Mars and descended from human royalty. The King, threatened by their lineage, ordered them to be left on the River Tibert to die, but Tiberinus, Father of the River, saved them. They grew up amongst animals, but when they discovered the human truth, they killed the King and chose to build a new city. Conflict grew between them; Romulus slaughtered Remus and founded the city of Rome.
