Buddy Up is a peer mentoring program where senior UNSW students take a group of 10 first year students through 4 introductory sessions. Sessions will be on campus or online, plus your Buddy Up buddy will be available for questions along the way. Buddy Up is free and designed for all first years. The first session takes place 1-week before O-Week.
Once you register, you'll be added to our Discord. From here, we will match you with a group of other new students. Each group will have a Peer Mentor who will host a weekly 1-hour information session to guide you through settling in at uni. You'll be in a group chat and you can send your mentor questions any time.
That's fine! You can join online group sessions until you arrive and then attend in person once you get here. However, once Week 1 starts, all sessions will be in person only. We do this because its the best way to get connected.
