We've made it easier to get your bike serviced!
We’ve made it easier to get your bike serviced! All bookings are now managed through our new booking system to help us stay organised and ensure everyone gets a fair go.
Bookings are free and simple—just choose your session, let us know what you need, and we’ll do our best to get you rolling again. Walk-ins are welcome, but priority goes to those with bookings, and spots do fill quickly each week.
What to Expect
Our student volunteers offer basic servicing and repairs using a mix of second-hand and new parts. We’ll assess your bike when you arrive and let you know what can be done during the session. Please note:
- New parts are sold at cost price, and you’ll be advised before anything is fitted.
- We’ll always try to complete your service, but time and parts availability may limit what we can do on the day.
Location and Session Information
- Where: MCIC MakerSpace – Level G, Hilmer Building (E10), next to Alumni Lawn
- When: Mondays and Fridays, 12–2pm (Weeks 1–10, excluding Flex Week)
- Arrival Time: We recommend arriving at 12pm for the best change of being seen, especially if you're a walk in
Please note: The Workshop Safety Badge is only required if you’re joining the volunteers inside the workshop to learn or help with the repairs. If you're just dropping your bike off for service, you do not need the badge — a Bike-ology volunteer will meet you outside the Makerspace to check you in and take your bike.
Cancellations & No-Shows
If you can no longer attend, cancel your booking through Humanitix ASAP so someone else can take your spot. Repeated no-shows without notice may result in future bookings being restricted.
