Hey AGT family! Just wrapped up my second trip as a volunteer, and boy, was Gap Head lookout a treat! As someone who lives for long walks and hiking, this adventure was right up my alley.

Quick tips for future Gap Head conquerors:

1. Pack snacks like there's no tomorrow. Your future self will thank you.

2. Layer up - the weather's as changeable as your playlist on shuffle.

3. Charge that phone! You'll want to capture every sweaty, grinning moment.

The hike was a real thigh-burner, but that's what we signed up for, right? We trekked, we climbed, and we might have questioned our life choices once or twice. But the AGT spirit kept us going - that, and the promise of epic views (and more snacks) at the top.

Reaching the lookout was like finding the pot of gold at the end of a very steep rainbow. The views were knock-your-socks-off gorgeous. Cue the inevitable photoshoot in our AGT shirts - because if you didn't get a pic, did you even hike?

The descent was an adventure in itself. Let's just say we all became experts in the art of "controlled sliding" and leave it at that.

Why was this my favourite AGT trip so far? It combined my love for hiking with the joy of guiding others. As a second-time volunteer, I got to share tips, crack jokes, and help fellow hikers push their limits. There's something special about seeing the triumph on someone's face when they reach the top.

Gap Head, you beautiful beast, thanks for the memories. To my fellow AGT enthusiasts: can't wait to see where our next hike takes us. Just give me a day or two to remember how legs work, okay?
