Mental Health Pledge
Arc prioritises its employees’ mental health and wellbeing. We believe that “a healthy workplace is one where workers and managers collaborate to continually improve the health, safety and wellbeing of all workers and by doing this, sustain the productivity of the business” (World Health Organisation, 2009).
Arc understands that many of its casual employees are students, a group who is at increased risk of poor mental health due to academic and financial demands, forming and maintaining new social networks, and stressors associated with leaving home. Student employees are important to Arc as they work throughout the organisation. Therefore, it is necessary that managers and supervisors provide support for their student employees in the workplace.
