5 More Tips to Host an Exceptional Conference

17 MARCH 2022

Following our last 5 Tips to Host an Exceptional Conference, we’ve definitely had some changes to our environment and timing so here are a continued five tips to boost your conference with the Roundhouse today!

1. Set the space for inclusivity

Similar to knowing your client in our first 5 tips, knowing which audience you are targeting and the content you are presenting will give your company the ability to know where you can be more inclusive and acknowledge other audiences that may be important to your reach. Creating a safe space for your audience with the help of a strong facilitator will boost your event engagement and make it more enjoyable for your attendees!

2. Up your tech game

It’s inevitable to be talking about hybrid when talking about events. Upping your tech game should be something near, if not the top of your priority list, possibly creating a broadcast live, or upping your audio game. At the Roundhouse, the team is dedicated to making your event the best that it can be. With built-in web streaming services and a dedicated AV team, the Roundhouse is ready for your hybrid event!

3. Always revisit your content and rehearse

With your new big idea that could transform the way companies do events, remember to revisit your content, your event map and your script and rehearse! Practice makes perfect, so make sure your event can be as smooth as possible.

4. Be flexible

While you’re making your event as smooth as possible, there are bound to be kinks and last-minute hiccups. To avoid any difficulties or last-minute changes to your conference, be prepared with back-ups and back-back-ups and spread this with your team. This way you’d have thought of any risks, and your team is ready for any change that comes at you!

5. Feedback

Looking back once your celebrations of your event are over, maybe your event needed a more upbeat facilitator, or your event could’ve used smoother transitions between speakers. With your farewell and thank you pack mentioned in our first five tips, think about adding a small sheet to link to a feedback form for the future. Feedback is always handy to keep in mind to improve and make bigger and better events!
